Why the list is sometimes short
Five litters a year, and a Holland Lop bunny is only listed once it is genuinely ready to leave. That means there are weeks when this page has three rabbits on it and weeks when it has none.
Most rabbitries do the opposite. They photograph a litter at two weeks old, take deposits, and let buyers queue for animals that may not survive, may not turn out the colour they looked like, and will not be ready for another two months. It fills the page and it moves the risk onto you.
If nothing here suits you today, the honest answer is to check back rather than pay to hold a place.
What a Holland Lop bunny costs here
$300 to $400. That is the whole range and there is nothing above it. Colour does not move the price, sex does not move the price, and there is no premium for a rabbit that photographs well.
The rabbit is the cheap part. Here is what the first year actually costs once you add a neuter, a proper pen, hay, and a vet who treats rabbits.
Collecting in person
We meet in Bakersfield at a time we agree beforehand. Collection runs on a $100 deposit, which is not refundable and which comes off what you owe. The balance is cash when we meet.
The time is agreed before the deposit, never after. If something comes up, tell us 24 hours ahead and we will move it without any fuss.
If you are in the Central Valley, Fresno, Visalia, or down toward Los Angeles, collecting is usually easier than shipping and it costs you nothing.
Having a bunny delivered
We book the transport ourselves rather than handing you a phone number and wishing you luck. Every route is different, so we quote you the exact cost for yours before you commit to anything. Nobody is asked to pay before they know the number.
Delivery is paid in full before the rabbit travels. There is no deposit on a delivery, because once it is on the road there is nothing left to hold.
It goes by road, in a climate controlled vehicle. We do not fly rabbits. A Holland Lop weighs two to four pounds and is a prey animal, and a cargo hold is a bad place to be either of those things. Alaska and Hawaii are the only places we will not go.
What goes home with them
- Three days of the exact feed they are already eating. Switching a rabbit's food overnight is one of the most common ways to land yourself at an emergency vet in week one.
- A scent blanket from the nest, carrying the smell of their littermates. The first two nights alone are the hardest part of the whole move.
- An email address you can actually use afterwards. The questions people ask in the first fortnight are usually the ones that matter.
Every bunny is vet checked before it leaves.
Buck or doe
Ask rather than assume. Most buyers request a doe expecting her to be gentler, and in practice a neutered buck is often the calmer and more affectionate animal. Temperament varies more between individuals than between sexes, and we can tell you which of the current litter is bold and which one will take a fortnight to trust you.
If you are looking for a Holland Lop buck for sale specifically, say so. Bucks are the ones people overlook and they are usually the ones we would have recommended anyway.
